Powered by Liquefied Natural Gas
Miami, November 2, 2022 – Carnival Cruise Lines' newest and most innovative cruise ship, Carnival Celebration, has set sail from Miami on its inaugural voyage, marking a grand finale to the company's 50th anniversary celebration.
Launched in 2022, Carnival Celebration is the second in Carnival's line of next-generation Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered cruise ships. This advanced technology reduces emissions and provides a cleaner, more environmentally friendly cruising experience.
Among the highlights of Carnival Celebration is its first-of-its-kind onboard rollercoaster, Bolt: Ultimate Sea Coaster. This thrill ride takes guests on a high-speed adventure around the ship's top deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding landscape.
The ship also features a variety of new dining and entertainment options, including the open-air Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, the Mexican-inspired Blue Iguana Cantina, and the immersive Punchliner Comedy Club. Additionally, Carnival Celebration boasts a large casino, multiple swimming pools, a water park, and a luxurious spa and fitness center.
The inaugural voyage of Carnival Celebration includes a seven-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary with stops in St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan, and Amber Cove, Dominican Republic. The ship will sail from Miami year-round, offering a variety of itineraries to the Caribbean, Mexico, and The Bahamas.
